IIT Ropar receives NIDHI-TBI grant of Rs 5 cr from Dept of Science & Technology

Chandigarh, Dec 2 (UNI) IIT Ropar has added another feather in its cap by fetching a grant of Rs five Crore from Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India.
This grant has been sanctioned to IIT Ropar Technology Business Incubator Foundation (TBIF)-a section non-profit entity of IIT Ropar, established in the year 2016, which is independently taking care of start-up related activities and entrepreneurial system for the students of IIT Ropar & of the Punjab region.
Under the provisions of this grant, a state-of-the-art infrastructure will be created in next one year including making of design & die lab, co-working spaces, conference rooms etc., said Prof. Harpreet Singh, Coordinator, TBIF, IIT Ropar.
