Meghalaya Cabinet approves loan for Power Corporation

Shillong, Aug 14 (UNI) The Meghalaya Cabinet Friday approved a special long term loan
amount of Rs 1345.72 crore to the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL)
which is the holding company for its Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited
(MePDCL) for clearing of all outstanding dues to the public sector undertakings, namely,
NEEPCO, NTPC, OTPC and transmission companies like the PGCIL.
