Road accident kills man, injures son in Punjab

Phagwara, Nov 29 (UNI) A man was killed on the spot, while his son sustained serious injuries, when their two-wheeler was hit by a speeding truck near Khalwara on Phagwara-Chandigarh bypass.
Police said the deceased was identified as Pawan Kumar Chhabrra, while his son Amandeep was admitted in the local Civil Hospital. The body of the deceased was handed over to the family members after post-mortem examination.
Police have registered the case and arrested the truck driver, they added.
