Bhopal, Aug 20 (UNI) Reminiscing Bharat Ratna-recipient erstwhile premier Rajiv Gandhi on his 75th birth anniversary, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath averred that Mr Gandhi envisioned a powerful 21st century India and his achievements serve as a universal inspiration to this day.
“Mr Gandhi took the nation along the right path with the objective of achieving his cherished dream for the motherland,” Mr Nath told the press in the state capital.
The Chief Minister also conveyed via social media that Mr Gandhi heralded the computer revolution, bridged the chasm between rural and modern India, strengthened Panchayati Raj, made rural residents realise the rights and duties enshrined in a democracy.
“Present-day digital India is his contribution,” Mr Nath added.
