UP govt to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Holi

Lucknow, Mar 23 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh government is gearing up to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to the residents of the state during the Holi festivities.
Following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s directive, Chairman of the UP Power Corporation (UPPCL) Dr Ashish Goyal has directed all the five distribution companies (Discoms) to guarantee uninterrupted and stable electricity provision during the festival across the state.
During this period, electricity supply will be provided round the clock in the state. It may be noted that previously, during events such as Dussehra, Navratri, Diwali, and the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, uninterrupted power supply was maintained for 24 hours in rural areas, nagar panchayat headquarters, tehsil headquarters, and district headquarters across all 75 districts without any disruptions.
