Monsoon taking a break over MP

Bhopal, July 15 (UNI) The southwest monsoon appears to have hit a ‘roadblock’ as Madhya Pradesh’ residents may have to wait for approximately a week prior to resumption of downpours.
“The trough line that extends in July from Sri Ganganagar via Madhya Pradesh to the Bay of Bengal has already reached the Terai – which usually happens in August – resulting in heavy precipitation in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Asom. A weather system is likely to form over the Bay on Wednesday,” senior meteorologist SK Dey told UNI here on Monday.
