FOB organises Yoga day awareness programme at Kargil

Kargil, Jun 18 (UNI) As a part of the on-going International Yoga Day celebrations, Field outreach Bureau (FOB) Chadoora unit under Ministry of Information and broadcasting, Government of India (GOI), organised an awareness program at Army Goodwill School, Harka Bahadur Kargil, a spokesman of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) said here Tuesday evening.
He said the theme of the programme was Yoga for children. The programme aimed to make children aware about the benefits of Yoga asanas and its importance in leading a healthy life.
Major Gurjeet Singh 9 JAK, RIF Kargil who was the chief guest on the occasion in his speech emphasised the importance of yoga in daily life. He said that such programmes are essential to draw more and more people towards adoption of yogic practice in their daily lives. He elaborated upon how children can get benefited by performing Yoga.
