At first, BDC Chairpersons to take salute on R-Day in J&K

Jammu, Jan 24 (UNI) For the first time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, Chairpersons of Block Development Councils will take salute at their respective Block Headquarters on the occasion of Republic Day celebrations.
As per circular issued by General Administration Department, the Chairpersons of Block Development Councils (BDCs) shall take salute at their respective Block Headquarters on the eve of Republic Day 2020 at the Block Development Council and Block Development Officer’s offices.
Wherever, the circular reads, the Tehsil Headquarters and Block Headquarters is the same, two separate Republic Day functions shall be held at Tehsil Headquarters and Block Development Offices, the circular reads.
