34th Surajkund International Craft Mela are in full swing & necessary arrangement made: ACS

Chandigarh, Jan 24 (UNI) Haryana Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism Department Vijai Vardhan has said that preparations for the 34th Surajkund International Crafts Mela are in full swing and necessary arrangements are being made by the Mela Authority to facilitate the visitors.
He said that millions of tourists across the world are expected to visit this fair and keeping in view the convenience and facilities of the tourists, he directed the concerned departments to timely complete the arrangements of Mela. While directing the officials at the meeting related to the preparations of the Surajkund International Crafts Mela in Faridabad, he said that along with the Mela authorities, the district administration is also responsible for providing better facilities to the tourists visiting the fair.
He directed for the repair of all the roads leading to the venue and to ensure that proper arrangements for barricading should be made. He said that the Police department should complete all the arrangements related to security and traffic systems, and a rehearsal should be done before the Mela. He said that an uninterrupted supply of electricity should be made and alternative arrangements for power should also be made. He also said that the Roadways' buses should be made available on different routes leading to the venue as per requirement. He said that various children's competitions should be organized by the Education Department and also ensure proper accommodation for artists and VIPs visiting the Mela.
