Seven women devotees killed in Ashok Dham stampede, crowd management under scanner

Lakhisarai, Aug 17 ( UNI) Altogether, seven women devotees were killed and more than a dozen injured in a stampede near Ashok Dham Temple on Monday after a massive Sawan crowd surged amid a collapsed barricade and panic over a fallen electricity pole. Following the incident, the Bihar government announced compensation of Rs 4 lakh for the family of each victim.
