Security forces, in collaboration with government agencies, destroyed approximately 436 acres of poppy plantations, and 51 huts found at the cultivation sites were also burned, police said today.
In a separate operation, security forces recovered a substantial cache of arms and explosives from the areas adjoining Ngairangbam and Longa Koireng villages under Patsoi Police Station in Imphal West district.
