Water Resources dept creates record with 104 promotions on various posts during lockdown: Sarkaria

Chandigarh, Jul 3 (UNI) As many as 104 officials in various cadres of the department have been promoted during lockdown.
Stating this here on Friday, Punjab Water Resources Minister Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria said that the Water Resources department have a vital role for farmers of Punjab and under the direction of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, the department has done exemplary work during this time.
He said that even during the lockdown, the officers/employees of the department were engaged in the task of cleaning the distributaries/minors. Apart from this the officers/staff of the Water Resources Department have provided Rs 1.60 crore as assistance to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to fight against Corona Virus.
