Sikkim CM attracts attention of Union Min of State for Civil Aviation towards Pakyong Airport

Gangtok, Jun 13 (UNI) Chief Minister PS Tamang on Thursday apprised Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation,(Independent Charge) Hardeep Singh Puri about Pakyong Airport, which is no longer operating flights due to circumstances.
CM Tamang has highlighted the Visibility issues, need of additional land for runway and Instrument Flight Rules.
Compensation issues raised by land owners who had sold the land for Airport, Minister Puri has said that the Director Airport should talk to the Landowners and try to settle the problem. Centre Government would not be doling out more money for it.
