Senior journalist Uday Sinha passes away in Lucknow

Lucknow, Apr 8 (UNI) Renowned journalist Uday Sinha died here on Wednesday.
He was around 64.

Family members said the journalist died at a private nursing in Mahanagar area of the state capital at around 0400 hrs on Wednesday. Recently, he went for an operation of the brain.

He is survived by his wife and two sons. The cremation is expected to be held later in the day.

Sinha worked at different capacities in newspapers. He was associated with The Hindu in Lucknow between 1985 to 1988. Thereafter, he worked as Resident Editor in The Pioneer and Swantra Bharat newspapers in Lucknow.

He was Editor of Prabhat Khabar, which published from Ranchi and later became Group Editor of Bhaskar. He was also associated with the Rashtriya Sahara and Dainik Haribhoomi.

Sinha used to appear regularly in different news channels too.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Assembly Speaker Hridya Narain Dikshit, along with several other political leaders and senior journalists, expressed grief over the sudden demise of Sinha.
