Families among income tax payers to get subsidised foodgrains in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Jun 12 (UNI) All 65 lakh families including income tax payers in Chhattisgarh will get
foodgrains at subsidised prices. The decision to this effect was taken in the state cabinet meeting,
chaired by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel here on Wednesday.
Briefing mediapersons over cabinet decisions, Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey and Forest Minister Md Akbar said that ration cards would be provided to all 65 lakh families. Currently 58 lakh families have ration cards. Now income tax payers will get ration cards. New ration cards would be made for all 65 lakh families including 7 lakh new families.
The ministers said that cards for general category would be divided into general category (income tax payers) and general category (non income tax payers). On the basis of this division they would be given ration cards according to their eligibility.
General category (income tax payers) and general category (non income tax payers) would be given rice at the price of Rs 10 per kg. Existing ration card holders will continue to receive grains on the basis of their old ration cards till issuance of new ration cards.
They said that one-member family would get maximum 10 kg rice while 2-member family will be given 20 kg rice. Family with three to five members will get 35 kg rice. If family comprises more than five
members, additional 7 kg extra rice would be given for each member.
With this decision the state government has taken step to fullfil one more election promise.
The cabinet has also decided to constitute cabinet sub committee for review of paddy procurement and custom milling policy and prefixing 'Nava Raipur' to Atal Nagar, Atal Nagar Development Authority and Atal Smart City Corporation.

MP CM expresses grief

Bhopal, July 8 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday expressed sorrow over the death of six individuals in a truck-auto head-on collision within Katni District.
The senior politician wished the five grievously-injured people a rapid recovery. The administration was directed to provide assistance to affected families, an official release said.

Bhopal, July 8 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed grief on Wednesday over the demise of Bundeli folk dancer Churaman Yadav who was a resident of Sagar.
“The artiste contributed significantly vis-à-vis enriching the Baredi dance. I pray for peace to the departed soul and fortitude to the bereaved family for bearing this grief,” the veteran leader averred in a message.

MP CM unveils Mukhya Mantri Street Vendor Loan Scheme

Bhopal, July 8 (UNI) When the government is present to extend financial assistance to people for business, there is no need whatsoever to approach moneylenders for credit, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasised on Wednesday while underlining that his dispensation will make available working capital of Rs 10,000 from banks to rural street vendors on the lines of the facility being provided to urban counterparts and the interest shall be borne by the regime even as targeted beneficiaries are not required to submit any type of collateral.
The senior politician launched the ‘Mukhya Mantri Street Vendor Loan Scheme’ and ‘Gramin Kamgar Setu Portal’ via videoconferencing at Mantralaya in the presence of Additional Chief Secretary (Panchayat and Rural Development) Manoj Kumar Shrivastava plus other senior bureaucrats, official sources said.
