BJP asks CEO to take action against TPCC Chief for Model Code violation

Hyderabad, Oct 30 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday urged State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Rajat Kumar to take action against TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy for gross violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC), by using religion to propagate his party and seek votes.
Talking to reporters after lodging a complaint with the EC, along with a team at the Secretariat, BJP National Executive Member N Indrasena Reddy alleged that Mr Kumar was provoking the religious and regional sentiments and luring the voters of Christian community.
The MCC categorically says, ''No party or candidate would include in any activity, which may aggravate existing differences or create mutual hatred or cause tension between different castes and communities religious or linguistic,'' Mr Reddy noted.
