Youth attack devotees inside temple, arrested

Unnao (UP), Sep 29 (UNI) Around half a dozen persons were injured when a youth attacked the devotees with a stick in a temple in Bangarmau area of Unnao district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that the incident took place in the historical Baba Bodheshwar Mahadev temple where a large number of devotees were present on the occasion of Poornima in the morning. "While devotees were offering prayers a youth armed with a stick entered the temple premises and started thrashing the devotees," they said.
Police sources said that nearly half a dozen devotees, including Milan Singh, Kailash Singh and Krishna Kumar Tiwari were injured in the incident. "The PAC personnel deployed in the temple overpowered the youth and handed him over to the police. The youth has been identified as Javed, a resident of Dargah Sharif locality," they said.
