Saharanpur (UP), Aug 17 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday took stock of the security and traffic arrangements of Saharanpur and gave necessary directions to the officials.
During his brief tour, the CM reached the Integrated Command Control Center (ICCC) at Saharanpur Municipal Corporation and in order to develop the city as a 'safe city' directed to install more cameras, arrange ambulances and cranes at busy and accident prone intersections.
"The Municipal Corporation and the police department should prepare a joint plan in this regard," he said.
The CM expressed satisfaction over arrangements made at the ICC and inquired the officer whether it has been connected with a safe city or not.
He said that to develop the city as a 'safe city' more and more cameras should be installed so that crimes can be controlled.
Yogi also directed to make arrangements of ambulances and cranes at busy and accident prone intersections so that in case of any accident, the victim can get immediate medical care and the accident prone vehicle can be removed from the route.
The Divisional Commissioner informed the CM that ICCC has been integrated with Safe City. He said that 17 junctions are being constructed out of which work on eight junctions has been completed and rest is in progress.
He said that these junctions include city surveillance cameras, traffic management system, public address system, emergency call box, automatic traffic violation detection, environmental sensors and city GIS platform system.
The commissioner said that 860 cameras are being installed at 296 locations and at present 212 cameras have been installed at 260 locations out of which live feed is being received from 90 at 36 locations.
