Women Wall is aimed at protecting and ensuring equal rights for women: Kerala CM

Kannur, Dec 29 (UNI) Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said that the proposed 'All-Women-Wall' is aimed at protecting and ensuring equal rights of women in the society, by constructing a wall, by themselves.
Responding to the ten-point query raised by the Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala on women-wall, including its objective, the Chief Minister said it was unfortunate that Mr Chennithala is unaware of its objective. Attempts are active in the State to demolish the renaissance values since for sometime and the wall is a guard against such evils.
Addressing a public meeting in Parapram in Pinarayi near Thalasserry, the birth place of Communist party in Kerala, Mr Vijayan said women in Kerala have always been facing challenges from the society and were oppressed by men. But, they are coming out to respond and resist against these aberrations.
