UP's down and out gets hike in monthly pension

Lucknow, Jan 21(UNI) Amid speculations that Yogi Adityanath government could give pension to Sadhus and Saints of the state, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday announced of increasing its monthly pension for all destitute persons by a sum of Rs 100, government spokesperson confirmed on Monday.

Now all destitute persons (including women, disabled and others) would a draw a monthly pension of Rs 500.
