UP: PCS officer commits suicide in Azamgarh

Azamgarh (UP), April 15 (UNI) A 43-year-old Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officer hanged himself and committed suicide under mysterious circumstances in Atraulia area of Azamgarh district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Monday.
Police sources said that Alok Kumar Singh, a resident of Budhanpur town, was posted as Suv Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Ghazipur district. "A 2003 batch officer, he was also looking after the charge of Executive Officer (EO) of Ghazipur Nagar Palika Parishad," they said.
Police sources said that Singh came to his village on leave around 15-days back. "On Sunday night he hanged himself and committed suicide. He was alone in the house at the time of the incident. His relatives informed the police," they said.
