UP panchayat polls : SP suspends four legislators for anti-party activities

Lucknow, Jan 13 (UNI) Ruling Samajwadi Party today suspended four party legislators for anti-party activities going against the official candidates of the party in the just concluded district panchayat chairman elections held last week Uttar Pradesh.
The party has also expelled 11 senior party leaders, several of them former legislators and ex-ministers of Shahjahanpur, Fatehpur, Mirzapur and Shravasti districts.
Party sources here said that the action was taken by Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, who is also the party state president.
