Maha votes 7.45 pc in 2 hours on 8 seats

Mumbai, April 26 (UNI) Around 7.45 per cent of 1.49 crore voters cast their votes till 9 am across eight Lok Sabha constituencies in Vidharbha and Marathwada region of Maharashtra in the second phase of polling, poll officials said.
Long queues were seen outside polling booths in Buldhana,Washim-Yawatmal,Akola,Amravati and Wardha of Vidharbha region and Nanded, Hingoli and Parbhani in Marathwada since morning, said polling official as eight to 10 percent of voting was recorded across constituencies in first two hours.
Early voters included Parbhani sitting UBT MP and party candidate Sanjay Jadhav, who cast his vote along with his daughter, a first-time voter.
Wardha BJP candidate Ramdas Tadas cast his vote in Wardha constituency. Former Chief Minister and BJP leader Ashok Chavan vote in Nanded. Navnit Rana Kaur also cast her vote in Amravati .
Talking to mediapersons Navnit said, "I hope the voters of Amravati will elect me to support Narendra Modi become PM for a record third time."
Pratap Patil Chiklikar (BJP) Nanded candidate cast his vote in Nanded, alongside Vasant Chavan who is contesting on a Congress ticket.
From Washim, Shinde Sena candidate Rajshree Patil cast her vote as her MVA opponent Sanjay Deshmukh along with his family members also voted.
Shinde Sena MLA Santhosh Bagar cast his vote in Hingoli and appealed to voters to vote in favour of Mahayuti to strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Nagesh Patil Astikar (UBT) also cast his vote in Hingoli.
Prahar leader and MLA Bacchu Kadu cast his vote along with his wife in Amravati while MVA candidate Balwant Wankhede also cast his vote.
Anup Dotre (BJP) nominee from Akola cast votes along with his family members at his village, while Vanchit Bahujan Agadhi Chief and Adv Prakash Ambedkar also voted from the same. Congress nominee Abay Patil too cast his vote.
Voting started at 7 am as a total of 204 candidates across eight constituencies seek votes from 1.49 crore voters.
