UP Assembly LoP suffers major heart attack in Jhansi

Jhansi, Nov 11 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly and senior Samajwadi Party leader Ram Govind Choudhury suffered a massive heart attack here on Sunday morning.
Party sources here said that the leader was immediately rushed to a private hospital where he was admitted in the ICU.
Doctors attending on the SP leader said that his condition was serious.
A senior leader said that Mr Choudhury would be rushed to Medanta hospital in Gurgaon and will be transferred there through an air ambulance from Jhansi.
The LoP was in Jhansi last evening to go to Madhya Pradesh for electioneering. Mr Chaudhary was staying at the residence of a senior SP leader and this morning, he complained about chest pain after which he was rushed to the hospital.

Earlier, during the monsoon session of the state assembly, Mr Choudhury had suffered a mild attack during his speech in the House.
A three-time MLA from different seats in Ballia district, Mr Choudhury was the minister in the previous Akhilesh Yadav government. He was a close associate of former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar.
