Two major fire incidents in HP

Shimla, Dec 5 (UNI) Two major fire incidents occurred in two separate places in the state during the last 24 hours.
Government and private property worth Rs 15 lakh and four livestock burnt alive in blazes.
State Chief Fire Officer JC Sharma told UNI that fire broke out near Deputy Commissioner Office in Bilaspur early on Thursday morning gutted the Statistics Branch of SP Office.
Upon receiving the information of fire at 0237 hrs, two fire tender pressed to douse down the inferno which took three hours to be controlled.
The cause of fire is yet to ascertain rendered loss of Rs four lakh of state property moreover the department averted loss of Rs 40 lakh after intime action to controlling the flames to spread in the entire block.
In another fire mishap occurred under Pakla Village of Chamba district gutted a cow shed. Two cows and two goats burnt alive in the mishap as the fire broke out from the ground floor of cow shed around 1730 hrs on Wednesday.
A fire tender was pressed to douse down the inferno but it could not reach the spot due to lack of road connectivity to the house.
No loss of human life was reported in the mishap. Property worth Rs 10 lakh including the belongings kept in the double-storey house also reduced to ashes.
