To ferry 1.75 cr apple boxes Shimla admin completes all preparedness: SP

Shimla, Jul 14(UNI) Shimla District Administration has completed all preparedness to smoothly ferry the apple proceeds from the district to various fruit markets places in the country.
Shimla District Police Chief D W Negi told UNI that it would be expected to have about one crore apple box less than last years 2.75 Crore as crop likley to be remained lean this years however keeping the low proceeds and improvement in the preparedness for the season it is more likely to be smooth and normal this year.
He said, "five inspection entry points have been set up to keep vigil on apple loaded vehicle and to avert frequent road accidents and crime like cheating of farmers and traders during the season. We would continue to register vehicle and driver and conductor of trucks as they would be issued identity cards by the police."
