Madurai, Aug 6 (UNI) Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Thursday inaugurated a new 900-bed coronavirus treatment centre at Vadapalanji here to help treat more patients.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Palaniswami said people from Southern districts were coming to the Government Rajaji Hospital at Madurai for coronavirus treatment. 'So, we have started a temporary treatment centre for the virus at our ELCOT campus at Vadapalanji with all infrastructure facilities like oxygen, ventilator and intensive care unit.'
He further said the number of coronavirus cases were gradually coming down in Tamil Nadu due to various preventive measures adopted by the government.
