Three policemen suspended in UP for taking undue credit

Deoria, Dec 6 (UNI) Three policemen of a SWAT team were suspended by Superintendent of Police Shri Pati Mishra, for taking undue credit of catching a truck carrying liquor in this district of Uttar Pradesh, police said here on Friday.
According to a police Spokesperson, Sub-Inspector Ghanshyam Singh, along with constables Rahul Singh and Sudama Yadav reached Ballia district while chasing a truck laden with liquor some days back, without informing the officials.
An Inspector of Lucknow STF was driving ahead of the truck in his vehicle, while three policemen of Deoria's SWAT team were behind them, also chasing the truck. The truck was stopped in Ubhanv area of Ballia district.
When the truck was stopped, the STF Inspector said the vehicle be handed over to him and the SWAT team members had an argument with him over the matter.
The STF Inspector complained about the same to the Deoria SP, who suspended SI Ghanshyam Singh, constables Rahul Singh and Sudama Yadav with immediate effect.
