Thane MACT awards Rs 9.37L compensation

Thane, Mar 1 (UNI) The parents of a 20-year-old MBA student, who died in a road accident in 2018, have been awarded a compensation of Rs 9.37 lakh by the Motor Accidental Claims Tribunal, here in its recent order.
In his order, the Member of the MACT RN Rokade, ordered the opponents Javeed Husensab Hungund, the owner of the offending truck and the insurance company Reliance General Insurance Company Ltd, to pay the compensation to the claimants parents along with the interest at 8 per cent p.a. from the date of filing of the claim.
The order passed on February 25 was made available on February 28,2021.
