Telangana records 565 fresh COVID-19 cases, one death until Tuesday night

Hyderabad, Dec 2 (UNI) Telangana's overall COVID-19 tally climbed to 2,70,883 with 565 fresh coronavirus cases reported in the state till 2000 hours on Tuesday.
The state's COVID-19 deaths so far rose to 1,462 as a lone COVID-19 death was reported in the state in the past 24 hours constituting a case fatality rate of 0.53 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.5 per cent,according to a state health department bulletin on Wednesday.
As many as 925 persons have recovered from coronavirus between Monday and Tuesday pushing the total number of recoveries in the state till date to 2,60,155 with a recovery rate of 96.03 percent while the national recovery rate was 94 per cent,the bulletin said,
The number of active cases in the state now stood at 9,266 including 7,219 individuals in home or institutional isolation.
A total of 51,562 samples were tested to detect the contagious virus in the last 24 hours
out of which the results of 616 swab samples were pending.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic 55,51,620 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the state so far.
As usual the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation reported a maximum of 106
positive cases in the last 24 hours followed by Medchal Rangareddy (43),Medchal
Malkajgiri (42),Nalgonda (31),Karimnagar (29),Warangal-urban (23) and Khammam (21),
The remaining coronavirus cases of the day were reported by other districts,the bulletin added.
