Telangana: No oxygen shortage in State : Health Min. Eatala

Hyderabad, Apr 18 (UNI) : Telangana Health Minister Eatala Rajender on Sunday clarified that there is no shortage of oxygen in the state but oxygen production issue was in central limits and the states can’t produce immediately.
Currently, we require 260 tonnes of oxygen and this may go up between 300 to 350 tonnes depending on corona patients' rush and need, said Eatala in a press conference here.
Though having the capacity to vaccinate 10 lakh people, the vaccination process was standstill in the state due to shortage of doses, the Minister said that we are expecting to get 2.7 lakh doses tonight from the central as we have already contacted Union Minister Harsh Vardhan in this regard.
