Telangana Min seeks centres support for various handloom and textile initiatives

Hyderabad, Jan 21 (UNI) Telangana Minister for IT and Industries, K T Rama Rao (KTR) on Friday sought the Union Government's support for various works taken up in the handloom and textile sector in the state.
In a letter to Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Piyush Goel, KTR requested them for sanction Rs 897.92 crore for taking up infrastructure works at Kakatiya Mega Textile Park (KMTP) in Warangal.
Besides requesting for early approval of the project, the Minister also urged the Union Government to finalize the policy for ‘Development of Manufacturing Regions for Textile and Apparel Sector (MRTA)’ so that projects of such scale like KMTP can be suitably benefitted.
