SW Monsoon lashes few parts of Himachal with warning of heavy rainfall

Shimla, Jul 11 (UNI) South West Monsoon lashed few parts of Himachal Pradesh after a long wait, with a warning of very heavy rainfall in some parts.
The Met Office issued warning of very heavy rainfall in isolated parts of mid and foot hills and heavy rain in parts of high reaches in next 24 hrs.
The Met Office recorded 26 mm rainfall in Sundernagar in Mandi, Dharamshala in Kangra & Gohar in Mandi with a rainfall of 24 mm each, while in Bijahi 14 mm, Jogindernagar 12 mm, Mandi 11 mm,and Pandoh and Palmpur eight mm.
Tourist resort Manali in Kullu recorded 5 mm rainfall, Sarkhghat in Mandi & Sarahan in Shimla 3 mm each, Baijnath in Kangra 2 mm, Kotkhai, Kufri & Janjehli in Mandi 1mm each.
Maximum temperature of Shimla was 24.7 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar in Mandi 30.7 degrees, Bhuntar in Kullu 34.6 degrees, Kalpa 22.7 degrees, Dharamshala 30.2 degrees, Una 34.2 degrees
Nahan 28.6 degrees, Solan 29 degrees, Kangra 31 degrees, Bilaspur 32.3 degrees, Hamirpur 31.9 degrees, Chamba 32.5 degrees Dalhousie 21.7 degrees and Keylong 21.4 degrees.
The Met office forecast rainfall in most places in the mid and foot hills and many places in the state in next two days.
