Spike in COVID-19 positive cases continue in UT

Puducherry, Oct 9 (UNI) The surge in Coronavirus cases continued in the Union Territory with 371 new positive cases recorded, 2 patients died and there was 4,803 active cases, ending at 1000 hours on Friday.
According to the COVID-19 status released by the health department here, 287 new cases were reported in Puducherry region, 53 in Karaikal region, 8 in Yanam region and 23 in Mahe region.
As many as 287 persons were discharged in the last 24 hours. Of them, 247 were from Puducherry region, 7 from Karaikal region, 17 from Yanam region and 16 from Mahe region.
