SAD-BJP alliance itself threat to peace of state: Jakhar

Chandigarh, Sep 18 (UNI) Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Sunil Jakhar on Tuesday said that law and order situation in the state was totally under control while saying that the SAD (Shiromani Akali Dal) and the BJP are themselves a major threat to the peace and harmony of the state, as both could do anything to achieve their vested political interest.

While sharing his comment on the meeting of SAD-BJP delegation with Governor of Punjab, Mr Jakhar said that before raising questions on the present law and order situation in the state, SAD-BJP leaders should have recalled their own tenure of the last ten years. He said that the law and order scenario was completely peaceful now and no major incident had happened anywhere. He added that the Congress government had even resolved the many untraceable cases which had taken place during the previous SAD-BJP regime, posing serious threat to law and order in the state, quoting the instances of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and the assassination of RSS leaders.
