Road safety week: 1000 drivers and cleaners screened at free medical camp

Kakinada, Jan 20 (UNI) Over one thousand drivers and cleaners were screened for various ailments including eye diseases at the free medical camp organised under the aegis of the transport department at the premises of the Lorry owners association here on Monday.
Specialists doctors from Trust hospital, Hope hospital and Kiran eye hospital have examined the drivers and cleaners and prescribed treatment.
Collector Muralidhara Reddy, Superintendent of police Adnan Nayeem Asmi and MP Vanga Geeta who attended as the guests of honour have advised the drivers to maintain good health and observe safety precautions while driving so that accidents could be minimised.
