Retrospective category brings nostalgia to film festival

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 7 (UNI) Sarada is an actress who made a space for herself in the minds of Malayalis by portraying the realistic and string Malayali women, said director Adoor Gopalakrishnan while inaugurating the ‘Retrospective' category of 24th International Film Festival of Kerala on Saturday.
Actress Sarada said that she was fortunate to attend the screening of Swayamvaram after 47 years.
The Retrospective category contains seven films including Swayamvaram (One’s Own Choice) and Thulabharam for which Sarada won the National Award for the best actress. The screening of Swayamvaram was done using traditional film projection technology.
