Resigned Congress MLA Ramalinga Reddy fails to appear before Assembly Speaker

Bengaluru, Jul 15(UNI) Seven-time MLA and senior Congress rebel leader Ramalinga Reddy, who had tendered his resignation to the membership of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, failed to appear before the Speaker Ramesh Kumar here on Monday as per his direction.
In a communication submitted to the Speaker’s office, Reddy, citing health reason, sought more time to appear before him over his resignation.
Reddy, is among the 16 rebel Congress and the JD(S) MLAs who had submitted their resignations to the Speaker last week and had to appear before Speaker Ramesh Kumar for confirmation over quitting from the Assembly.
