Jalandhar,Jul 18 (UNI) Memories live and relive through generations! Festivals make sure they don't die and one of the recent example is Yayavar Literary Festival where who's who of the literary and entertainment world shared their experiences.
Lockdown due to Corona pandemic served as the perfect platform for many Bollywood celebrities to talk about their journey in the tinsel town through this Literary Festival. Stars especially from Punjab talked openly giving their fans a reason to smile.
'Yayavar literary festival ' started from its first pan-India Literary Festival in Jammu in December 2019 followed by another literary festival at Jalandhar in February 2020 in association with Lovely Professional University .In April it did online Global Literary Festival for kids and reached approximately two lakh kids , and their parents, educational institutions.
Nupur Sandhu, a multifaceted personality , a psychologist and therapist registered with 'Live Love Laugh' foundation of mental health for Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir decided to bring Yayavar literary festival in Jalandhar and Jammu . Sandhu is an author, short film maker and screenwriter. She is a associated with Rotary Club and works for betterment of the society.
Team YAYAVAR Literary Festival came up with this idea of having candid conversations with the authors and inspirational personalities from Bollywood and to know more about their personal and professional journey's ups and down. The first season of 'Reminicising' had Mr Tiku Talsania, Imran Hasnee, Anirban Bhattacharya, Sushant Singh, Kusum Chhopra, Mai Khaled ( Egypt) Amrinder Gidda ( Australia), Rajesh Beri, Raga Olga Disilva( UK) , Cynthia Roli Gupta, Ranvir Shoery and Vinay Phatak.
Nupur Sandhu Founder Director of Yayavar told that the aim was to promote and celebrate different forms of art and literature. Mr Tiku Talsania told us about his co star of many films, Late Rishi kapoor and his book Khulam Khulla was discussed. Imran Hasnee is a popular Hollywood and Bollywood actor and good friend of late Irfaan Khan. Amrinder Gidda being a Radio, sports Head of Haanji Radio is also an author of punjabi book on hockey players. Anirban Bhattachary, Producer, director Crime patrol , his book The Deadly Dozen was discussed. Senior journalist from Ahmedabad Kusum's book "Rishtey", Mai Khaled's "The Magic of Turquoise" Raga's "The Untold lies" Cynthia's film Hamshakal Khawab. Rajesh Beri a famous Daily Soap writer for many serials and an awardee of Limca Records, he wrote popular film Sarabjeet his book Tere Baigeir was discussed . Multifaceted actors Ranvir Shoery and Vinay Pathak enriched us with their experiences and how they made a place for themselves.
Nupur Sandhu says that interviewing all the guests of Reminiscing left her with so many fond memories and she and her team learnt a lot. We tried to cover different genres and languages of books. The personal touch we received from our guests was very very heartwarming. The USP of YAYAVAR is it binds people in more than one way. She vouches on her team Arush Mahajan, Jasleen kour, Kashish Sandhu and Ridhi Jain who worked behind curtains to make it a success.
Yayavar Literary Festival, Jammu 2020 will be organised in November this year.
