Registration for B SC IT, M SC IT and PGDCA courses begin at Sainik Institute

Jalandhar, Jul 13 (UNI)-The Sainik Institute of Management And Technology has started registration of the BSc IT, MSc IT and PGDCA courses.
District Defence Services Welfare Officer, Jalandhar, Colonel (Retd.) Dalwinder Singh said that the Institute is affiliated to IKG Punjab Technical University and the courses have been specifically selected to provide IT related education to wards of Serving/Ex-servicemen, and other weaker sections of society.

He urged the wards of Ex-Servicemen to take advantage of these schemes and avail the opportunity to get professional education at highly subsidized fee.
He said that the courses have been initiated to impart training to ex-servicemen, their wards, so that their chances of employability are enhanced in vocational trades.
Students would be given elaborate theory and practical coaching so that they attain a high level of proficiency in the field of information technology. Apart from these courses, they would provide preparatory classes for joining the armed forces as commissioned officers.

Amritsar, Aug 13 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Thursday condemned the Congress government for not providing medical care to those who were permanently disabled by the hooch tragedy even as it demanded that they be given a compensation of Rs 20 lakh besides calling for registration of a culpable homicide case against all those responsible for their disability.
