Radha Mohan Singh will inaugurate 4th Agri Leadership Summit on Feb 15

Chandigarh, Feb 14 (UNI) Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Radha Mohan Singh will inaugurate the 4th Agri Leadership Summit at the proposed International Fruit and Vegetable Terminus in Ganaur, district Sonipat on February 15, 2019. The three-day Summit is being organised from February 15 to 17.
While giving information about the Summit, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister O.P. Dhankar said that the President Ram Nath Kovind will be the chief guest at the concluding ceremony. Apart from this, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar and other Ministers of State Cabinet, MP, MLA, officers of Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board and agricultural scientists will also be present on the occasion.
Mr Dhankar said that this year, the initiative of honouring persons performing better in the agri leadership will be done by giving away ‘Haryana Kisan Ratna’ award. Apart from this, farmers participating in the Krishi Mela will be given rewards every day through draw of lots. He said that more than one lakh farmers had made their presence in the Agri Leadership Summit held in Rohtak from March 24 to 26, 2018, which constitutes about 10 per cent of Haryana's total farmer’s population.
