Quality edu & good researches are need of hour : Naik

Lucknow, Jun 18 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik has stressed on quality education and good researches in educational sector.

Addressing the gathering here on Tuesday, Mr Naik said efforts must be made to harness commercialization of education sector. He said human angle should always be followed to provide education to bright and fertile brains from poor background.

Mr Naik said higher education in state universities was improving day by day. He said after taking charge of chancellor of state universities on July 22, 2014 he ensured that educational schedule should be followed properly.

He said only 40 per cent female students were proceeding for higher education earlier while this percentage rose to 51 in 2017-18 session and 56 in 2018-19 session. He said it is a good sign for women empowerment but scope of improvement is always there.

UP governor said vacant posts should be filled soon for quality education and upliftment of educational level. He said initiatives were taken to conduct cheating free exams which will further improve education quality.

He also honoured some student as well as educationists for their contribution in education sector. He said honesty is key to making better education environment.
