Punjab minster urges spiritual leaders to come forward to eliminate social evils

Jalandhar, Jul 16 (UNI) Punjab Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu on Tuesday called upon the religious leaders in the state to play a proactive role in wiping out the social evils prevalent in the society.
After paying obeisance at Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan at Nurmahal in a religious congregation, Mr Ashu said that the spiritual leaders could play a vanguard role in curbing the social maladies in the state by making the people aware about them.
He said that it was the need of the hour the spiritual leaders should make all-out efforts for strengthening the bonds of mutual love, peace, and communal harmony in the society.
