Punjab Governor unveils 'Lutyens' Maverick' authored by Baijayant ' Jay' Panda

Chandigarh, Feb 9 (UNI) The Punjab Governor and Administrator of Chandigarh on Saturday unveiled the maiden Book Lutyens' Maverick authored by the former MP Baijayant “Jay” Panda published by the Rupa Publications here at Punjab Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh.
Talking about the book, the Governor said that there were many key questions that have been addressed to in the book by the author. It is indeed an exhaustive and well researched work, he said.
According to Mr Panda, the contentious questions talked about in the book are just a few of the myriad political, economic and social issues which have been scrutinized thoroughly in his maiden book.

Preparation for counting of votes is complete, counting will start at 8 am : DC

Dharamshala, Dec 6 (UNI) All administrative preparations have been completed in Kangra district regarding the counting of votes for the Himachal Assembly Elections 2022.
The counting will begin on December 8, 2022 at 8 am.
District Election Officer, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal on Tuesday told UNI that the administration has made all necessary arrangements to conduct the counting of votes in a fair, peaceful and smooth manner.
On an average, the counting of votes in the district will be completed in 9 to 12 rounds. He said that 9 to 14 tables have been set up for assembly-wise counting. Maximum 14 tables will be in Jaisinghpur and Nurpur assembly constituencies and minimum 9 tables in Palampur assembly constituencies.

One killed in hit and run road mishap in Kangra

Dharamshala, Dec 6 (UNI) One person was killed on the spot in a hit and run road mishap and one person was injured in another road accident at two different places in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh falling under Jwali and Fatehpur police stations during last 24 hours, police said here on Tuesday.
