Prime concern to address public grievances through good governance, advisor Khan

Srinagar, Aug 11 (UNI) A number of delegations on Tuesday raised their grievances with Advisor to Lt Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan who reaffirmed that redressal of public grievances through a more responsive and good governance is government's prime concern.
An official spokesman said this evening that advisor, while interacting with several delegations and individuals during routine public outreach program, reiterated that bringing governance to the doorsteps of people is the core motive of present administration.
A delegation of Fruit Growers Association raised the demand of continuing market intervention scheme under NAFED for this year also, waiving off KCC loans in favour of orchardists affected by early snowfall last year and exemption of rent on account of cold storage for the last year.

Bhopal, Sep 25 (UNI) Acknowledging the fact that Madhya Pradesh is grappling with a resource crunch spawned by the ‘millennium scourge’, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday assured in the same breath that public welfare and development projects will not halt.
“Within a period not exceeding three years, pure potable tap-water shall be supplied to every dwelling and each indigent individual will reside in a pucca abode,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying while addressing a Vikas Parv-cum-Antyodaya Mela in Guna District’s Bamori after performing bhoomi pujan for ventures worth approximately Rs 640 crore.
