President to visit Kanpur for 2 days

Kanpur, Nov 20 (UNI) President Ramnath Kovind is expected to visit his native place Kanpur for two days from November 24.

Officials here on Saturday said elaborate security has been made for the President's visit .

During his stay , Kovind would be attending 2 programmes for which 7 helipads have been prepared .

A total of 10 IPS, 12 ADCP, 25 DSP, 70 Inspector, 200 SI, 1200 constable and 5 company PAC will be deployed for the security of the President.

In view of the possibility of bad weather during the presidential program, new roadways are being prepared. In such a situation, if the weather remains clear, then the President will travel by helicopter and if the weather turns bad, the President will be taken by road.

The Kanpur Police Commissionerate has made full preparations regarding the security of the President. Police will be deployed everywhere from Chakeri airport to the venues.

According to Police Commissioner Aseem Arun, it is proposed for the President to go by road to go from Circuit House to HBTU, but in such a situation, there is a match between India and New Zealand in Greenpark on the same day, due to which they will use chopper from Circuit House to HBTU.

According to the police commissioner, if there is fog, or if the roadway and weather is clear, then helicopters will be used.
According to the proposed schedule, on November 24, the President will arrive at Chakeri Airport at 11.05 am by his special aircraft from Delhi. From there he will reach Chaudhary Harmohan Singh Para Medical Institute at 11.35 hrs by helicopter and will leave for Circuit House at 12.45 hrs. On November 25, the President will attend the centenary year celebrations at HBTU and thereafter he will return back Delhi.

Last time President visited Kanpur by Presidential train.
