Puducherry,Dec 10 (UNI) Puducherry minister for co-operation M Kandasamy would be attending the Executive Committee Meeting of Network for Development of Agricultural Cooperatives in Asia and the Pacific (NEDAC) and international organisation dealing in development of cooperation between Asia-Pacific counties in the field of Agriculture and Co-operation with its head quarters in Thailand.
According to a release from the office of the minister on Tuesday, Mr Kandasamy who reached Sri Lanka along with cooperative secretary Ashok Kumar, IAS and Managing Director of the Puducherry Co-Operative Milk Producers Union (Ponlait) Sarangapani on Monday visited the Sri Lanka Youth Empowerment Co-operative Society Ltd,Colombo and studied in detail the milk production and export of milk products by the cooperative society.
About 25 countries were members to NEDAC and Ponlait has also joined it as member for one year with effect from 30-11-2019.
