Srinagar, Jul 14 (UNI) Alleging that leaders of mainstream political parties have been subjected to unlawful restrictions since August 5 in Kashmir, the CPI(M) on Tuesday demanded that the political leaders, placed under house arrest, be released immediately with no curbs on their movement.
“The house arrest and restrictions on the movement of political leaders and activists in Kashmir is arbitrary and unlawful. Even those who have been released from detention centers in the recent months are being denied permission to meet visitors and are being prevented from any movement outside their houses. This is highly unfortunate,” a CPI(M) spokesperson said here on Tuesday.
