Police arrests 5 stone pelters in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jun 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday arrested five stone pelters, who had allegedly damaged CCTV cameras installed in downtown Srinagar.
A police spokesperson said that a group of stone pelters had caused extensive damage to the CCTV cameras installed at Rainawari chowk. “The accused had also inflicted grievous injuries to Station House Officer (SHO) Rainawari,” he said.
He said all the accused were arrested, adding the gang was also active in lobbing petrol bombs on Security forces and Police during de-induction to provoke them to retaliate.
