People with vested interests instigate migrant workers to assemble in large numbers: Kerala CM

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 30 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday said some people with vested interests instigated migrant workers to assemble in large numbers at a place near Kottayam yesterday.
"We have reasons to suspect that these migrant workers were instigated by some people with vested interests. Our initial investigations confirm this. This is aimed at defeating our efforts at containing the spread of Coronavirus. The police are further investigating this," the Chief Minister said while addressing a press conference at the Government Secretariat this evening.
"A person was arrested today for sending messages misleading the migrant labourers. Two people in Malappuram were also booked for spreading fake news among migrant workers," he said.
